Jonathan Gribit
Legal Director
Jonathan Gribit is a Legal Director at CG & Co and one of the firm’s in-house lawyers specialising in property litigation. A solicitor with 13 years’ post-qualification experience, Jonathan has conduct of the majority of the firm’s receivership cases. He brings extensive expertise in residential and commercial possession proceedings, having acted for institutional landlords, pension funds, and retail clients in private practice on a wide range of asset management matters including break notices, dilapidations, forfeiture, and service charge disputes.
Jonathan’s deep understanding of the court process enables him to manage complex defences and counterclaims, negotiate and draft settlements, terminate tenancies, and secure possession orders. His experience provides CG & Co with a unique capability to deliver both strategic litigation outcomes and resolution through mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

CG & Co – Legal Director with conduct of the firm’s receivership cases, advising on litigation strategy and delivering effective results in contentious property matters.
Drydens Solicitors – Acted for Administrators, Liquidators, and lenders in a range of disputes including tribunal proceedings, trademark infringement, directors’ misappropriation claims, and property possession matters following the appointment of LPA Receivers.
Hempsons – Solicitor in the Corporate/Commercial Department advising NHS clients and private sector organisations on property disputes, procurement challenges, and ADR. Achievements included settling a £1m damages claim for an NHS Trust against a major utilities provider.
Nabarro – Associate in Real Estate Dispute Resolution advising institutional landlords and pension funds (including Intu Properties, BBC Pension Trust, and Land Securities) on high-value asset management disputes, lease renewals, recovery of arrears, and landlord/tenant insolvency.
Training – Completed legal training with Squire Patton Boggs, gaining broad commercial and property litigation experience.
