Amy Crighton is a Partner at CG & Co and a qualified insolvency solicitor with over 13 years’ post-qualification experience. Specialising in corporate insolvency and restructuring, Amy brings a strong legal perspective to complex matters, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders providing internal advice with strategic, solution-focused advice. 


Her expertise spans administrations, liquidations, asset recovery, and creditor issues, with a reputation for balancing technical precision with commercial pragmatism. Amy plays a key role in driving best practice, legal and regulatory compliance, and innovation across the firm’s insolvency and property offering. 


Amy specialises in fixed charge receivership (FCR) and corporate insolvency appointments, working closely with secured lenders, financial institutions, and professional advisors. She regularly provides advise on the management and realisation of distressed property assets, including both residential and commercial portfolios to the internal senior management team and has extensive experience in liaising with managing agents, estate agents, and solicitors to maximise recoveries for stakeholders. 


She is well regarded for her ability to navigate the legal and regulatory framework surrounding insolvency and receivership, ensuring all cases are managed in strict compliance with FCA, RICS, Insolvency Act, Insolvency Rules, SIP and other regulatory requirements. Her clear communication style, combined with her commercial acumen, means that she is trusted to handle high-value and time-critical appointments on behalf of the senior management team. 


Amy plays a pivotal leadership role in the strategic direction and growth of CG & Co. She is committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of insolvency professionals within the firm, ensuring high professional standards and a strong focus on client service.

Alongside her professional role, Amy values spending quality time with her children. She also has a creative side and enjoys crochet as a personal pastime.
